Sri Jaap Sahib- Historical Evidence 1

From last few years, Guru-Nindaks and Panth-Dokhis have launched a malicious propaganda against Sri Mukhvaak Baani of Dasam Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. It started with Charitropakhyaan, moved to Chaubis Avtar, and then Chandi Charittars and Chandi Di Vaar were targeted. But last year, Guru Nindaks Gurcharan Jeonwala, Inder Ghagga and some other illiterate individuals pointed finger at Baani of Sri Jaap Sahib, terming it as composition of some Shaktik Poet, translated from Shiv Puran.
(Note- When confronted, these individuals failed to provide any concrete evidence or research which proved their baseless and perverted theory against Holy Baani of Dasmesh Pita, which is an integral part of a Gursikh’s Daily Nitnem and Amrit Sanchar Ceremony.)

On the other hand, we find a number of historical writings of Gursikhs close to Satguru Guru Gobind Singh ji and of later times, which prove that Guru Gobind Singh ji composed and authored Baani of Sri Jaap Sahib and this Baani was an integral part of Sikh Nitnem even before Amrit Sanchar ceremony of 1699. Here are some of the references to Sri Jaap Sahib we find in some of Rehitnaamas .

Rehitnaama Bhai Nand Laal ji –

Saakhi Rehit Ki- Bhai Nand Laal ji—

A Sikh should wake up when the night is coming towards end.
( A pehar consists of three hours. In India, Day and night are divided in four pehars each, totalling twelve hours. First pehar of Night starts at Six in evening and last pehar of Night starts at Three in the morning, which makes the time of Three- Six, last pehar, as Amrit Vela or Ambrosial Hours). Get up, brush and take bath. Read Japji and Jaap both. If one does not know how to read, then read at least Five Stanzas ( Panj Pauriya) of each Baani. When Sun rises, go to the place (Dharamshala or Gurudwara) where Kirtan is being sung, bow your head, Listen and Sing Hymns of Guru, after Ardas, continue with your Kirt( One’s worldly duties and profession). When six hours (Two pehars) of day is left, (Afternoon), wash your hands and feet and read entire Japji and Jaap again. When a hour of day is left, in evening, spend it with So Dar Rehraas. Twenty four hours, love the Name of Lord. Whoever follows this Rehat will reside in peace here and shall dwell in peace hereafter (in next world, after Death).

Rehitnaama Bhai Desa Singh ji ( Son of Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh ) –

When one pehar night passes off, recite Baani of Sohila,
(Whenever one gets time), Out of Baani in both Granths ( Guru Granth Sahib and Dasam Granth), choose and memorize some Baani everyday.

Rehitnaama Param Su-Maarag---

At Ambrosial hour, when three hours of night are left, do this deed of body.
Recite five times Japji and Jaap , and with them, Read Anand five times.

Second word of Rehat( discipline)- Order is,
When you see that two Pehars of day have passed, and it is noon, then wash your hands, feet, legs till knees and Read Japji and Jaap Sahib once, and start your work again. If someone doesn’t know how to read it, then wahs your hands and feet first and sit in remembrance of Sri Waheguru ji. Recite  Purifying name of Waheguru first, so that this body is purified, and after that, recite this seven times  by your heart

''Sri Waheguru ji, We are in your protection.
One Creator Lord, True, Conscious and Blissful .
The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying, Beyond Birth, Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace

O Lord! Thou hast neither Discernible Features, nor denomination, nor caste, nor lineage.
None can describe thy splendance, colour, distinctive marks and costume
Thy entity is immovable, thou art self-resplendent, thy power is considered to be inestimable.
Thou art reckoned as the overlord of millions of indras (heavenly Kings) and the king of all kings.
Thou art the paramount sovereign of the three worlds (Heaven, Earth and nether), Deities, Mortals, Demons along with forest vegetation, proclaim thee infinite.
Who can recount all thy names? The wise have attempted to mention they action-names as revealed by they wonderful functions. (1)''

''Recite this much, and it will be as fruitful as reading whole Japji and Jaap Sahib.''

There are more writings and orders of Satguru ji and Gursikhs close to Maharaj which speak about importance of Sri Jaap Sahib in a Sikh’s life. They will be shared with sangat in due time.
All the historical evidence proves that Sri Jaap Sahib is Mukhvaak Baani of Dasam Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, which was, and is read and sung by all True Gursikhs, of past and present times. It was read not only in morning, but in afternoon as well, as is evident from writings of Rehitnaamas. This was to make a Sikh remember, salute, bow and love from heart, Supreme Lord Akaal Purakh Sri Waheguru ji. So speaking against Holy, supreme and purifying Baani of Dasmesh Pita is nothing but a Sin, Guru-Ninda.

Its duty of every Sikh, who loves Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, to read as much Baani of Sri Jaap Sahib as possible and inspire others also, to fly in the divine chariot of Baani and Naam created by Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj.
